Retro Stefson – Montana
Album cover design for Retro Stefson and their first album ‘Montaña’.
This was a collaboration with the band, who drew and created a collage, and illustrator Lóa Hlín Hjálmtýsdóttir, who handlettered the poster in ink.
Working with this band is always a pleasure. The artwork had do be done very quickly, as the first edition (which had different artwork) was almost sold out just before christmas. I wanted to show what the band looks like (they are young and beautiful, the world needs to see that) so that became the focus: put them on the cover, and their things on the inside.
Eventhough the printers messed up the first edition, overall this was a fun project.
