Retro Stefson – Kimbabwe
Graphic design and art direction for Retro Stefson’s second album, ‘Kimbabwe’, released in 2010.
As with their first album this artwork was a group effort. Guðmundur Jörundsson did the costumes, Hörður Sveinsson took all photos, and everyone in the band helped out with building the set, painting, coloring costumes and other things that needed doing.
The album artwork is a single sheet of paper which folds neatly so it securely holds the disc. It is also perforated and can be torn apart so it becomes an album cover and a band poster; the fold is designed so that the cover-part folds back into a protective and functional cover.
